Lip lines and perioral lines
Lines around the lips can involve skin texture, repeated movement and changes in surrounding support. A consultation distinguishes the concern and compares suitable approaches before any procedure is selected.
What treatment planning should establish.
These four points support treatment planning. The detailed guide below covers this treatment.

Assessment, options and realistic limits
Read more about Lip lines and perioral lines Treatment details and clinical context
Fine vertical lines can appear around the mouth. Their appearance varies, and a web page cannot determine which approach, if any, is suitable for your skin and goals.
A consultation can review your concern, relevant history, previous procedures and preferences. The clinician can explain possible cosmetic approaches and whether a treatment, waiting or no intervention is appropriate.
Any procedure has limitations and potential adverse effects. Expected change, discomfort, recovery and aftercare depend on the method selected and your individual circumstances; a smooth or lasting result cannot be guaranteed.
From your concern to an informed decision
Treatment is subject to consultation and an individual plan.
01 · Choose an area Tell us what you want to discuss
Choose the concern or area, review the factual price information and book a doctor consultation. Selecting an area does not confirm a procedure.
02 · Consultation Assess suitability and alternatives
The doctor reviews your history, the relevant anatomy and your goals. Discuss risks, expected limits, alternatives and total cost before deciding.
03 · Agreed plan Know the preparation and aftercare
If treatment is appropriate, you receive information for the specific procedure and review arrangements. Another approach or no treatment may be recommended.
The details behind your treatment choice

What are lip lines?
Lip lines, also called perioral lines, are lines around the mouth. They may be visible during expression or remain visible at rest. The term “smoker’s lines” does not mean that every person with these lines smokes.
Movement, texture and volume are different concerns
The consultation examines the lips and surrounding skin at rest and during expression, together with existing asymmetry and previous procedures. Lines related to surface texture are not the same as a loss of volume or a movement-related change.
This distinction matters when comparing skincare, resurfacing, filler or a prescription option. None should be assumed to be suitable simply because a line is present.
Which approaches can be discussed?
The original treatment guide considered skincare, resurfacing and other cosmetic procedures. Your doctor can explain which of the available options, if any, fits the particular concern and what it cannot change.
Ask about material risks, recovery, aftercare and the choice of no procedure. Complete removal of an established line is not promised.
Protecting normal lip movement
Discuss the movement and appearance you want to preserve, alongside any previous treatment or existing difficulty. Any proposed procedure around the mouth requires an explanation of its possible effects on nearby movement and function.
Skin care and aftercare
A suitable moisturiser and broad-spectrum sun protection can support general skin care. They cannot be assumed to remove an established crease. If a procedure is agreed, follow the specific preparation and aftercare supplied by the clinic.
Area selection, prices and your next step
Use the areas and prices panel to find the concern you want assessed. Prices are subject to consultation, and the selected area is carried into a doctor consultation request.
The final treatment plan, risks and total charge are discussed before treatment. A £50 doctor consultation reservation fee applies; current terms are shown before booking.
